PIANO CONCERT IN ŻELAZOWA WOLA

Saturday - 7th September 2002 (morning tour)

Visit in Żelazowa Wola joins possibility of seeing charming manor, typical in style for polish architecture of XIX century - the birthplace of the greatest polish composer Fryderyk Chopin and hearing beautiful piano concert of His compositions. Restored rooms of the manor contains a small museum with collection of family portraits, furniture of the epoque and other Chopin's memorabilia. After recital guest will enjoy relax in the picturesque garden surrounding the house. Guests will be also treated to modest meal.

WARSAW CITY SIGTHSEEING 
with entrance to the Royal Castle

This guided bus-tour contains the Łazienki Park, the Belvedere, Chopin's monument, the Royal Way, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, The Ghetto Memorial and Old Town intricately reconstructed after World War II including entrance the Royal Castle.

EXCURSION TO WILANÓW

Friday - 6th September 2002 (morning tour)

Visit in one of the most beautiful monuments of the Polish baroque architecture - Palace in Wilanów, originally the King Jan III Sobieski and His beloved wife Maria Kazimiera summer residence. Main building with rich ornamented fascade is surrounding spacious courtyard. Royal apartments contain marvellous portrait collection, ancient vases, Chinese porcelain, valuable manuscripts, drawings, maps and books. Around of the residence guest find relax and beauty of gardens composed partly in French and English style, full of interesting garden buildings like little Neogothic castle, antique sarcophagus, Chinese bower and orangery.

EXCURSION TO KAZIMIERZ DOLNY

Saturday - 7th September 2002 (full day tour)

Do not miss that full day tour to Kazimierz Dolny, a town of antique charm with Renaissance houses, beatiful Market Square, old churches and granaries and ruins of a castle stronghold overlooking the town. It is a favourite place with artists and writers, who find inspiration in this picturesque setting. During the trip visit in Puławy - an extremely valuable palace and park set, former place of residence noble Czartoryski family. After guided sigthseeing in Kazimierz including Market Square, Fara Church, Museum of Nature and the hill with ruins of a castle there will be short break for lunch time and relax. Then take ferryboat to the other bank of the Vistula river to visit to the ruins of XVI c. Janowiec castle, one of the biggest in Poland.

Post Conference Tour KRAKÓW - OŚWIĘCIM

Saturday-Sunday - 7th-8th September 2002 (2 days)

Kraków, Poland's capital between the XI and XVI century, is a special city with approximately 3000 historical buildings from various periods. Sightseeing includes the Old Town area, the Wawel Castle, Wawel Cathedral and St Mary's Church -they all are on the UNESCO list of the World Cultural Heritage. 
Kraków is also an excellent starting point for visits to other interesting places like: 
Oświęcim - Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau. The name of the city of Oświęcim was changed to Auschwitz by the Nazis in 1940 and became as well the name of the camp, which was established by them in the suburbs of the city. Then all over the world, Auschwitz has become a symbol of terror, genocide and the Holocaust.

 

PROGRAM OF THE TOUR

Saturday - 7th September 2002 (1st day)

  • arrival of the group to Kraków by train

  • check-in at the Kraków hotel

  • early-afternoon trip to Oświęcim - sightseeing of Nazi Camp (approximately 5,5 hours)

  • dinner in the restaurant at the Old Town area

  • back to the hotel

Sunday - 8th September 2002 (2nd day)

  • after breakfast check-out of the hotel (possibility of leaving luggage in hotel deposit till departure - reception desk)

  • meeting with English speaking guide, approximately 3,5 hours sightseeing of KrakŰw - Wawel Castle, Wawel Cathedral and St Maryís Church with the Old Town area (entrances included)

  • time at leisure

  • departure by train to Warsaw

Excursion includes: express train ticket Warsaw-Cracow-Warsaw, English speaking guides, dinner, all entrances, one night accomodation at the hotel in Kraków.

Price: when 10 persons minimum - 335 EUR p.p.

These excursions require a minimum number of participants. You will be notified and refunded by First Class if the required minimum number of bookings has not been achieved by June 31, 2002.
